Software languages used SORMAS-open was developed for android operating system using Java EE server Payara, Vaadin web client (www.vaadin.org) deployed on a PostgreSQL relational database management system (RDBMS). The server component which deploys SORMAS-open is the UNIX system UBUNTU with a CRONJOB Backup integrating all instances into one system
GitHub (www.github.org) is a General Public License (GPL) open source platform that manages all open source software projects stored in its repositories. The development of the SORMAS open prototype was based on an agile programming concept and all processes stored on the GitHub repository and platform for apt project management. Symeda and HZI were able to exchange development ideas and keep to milestones using bi-weekly sprint meetings within the project lifecycle. All the source codes and documentation for the SORMAS project are currently housed at https://github.com/hzi-braunschweig/SORMAS.
