SORMAS Foundation attended the first Global Goods Innovators Summit in Dar es Salaam

We are thrilled to bring you an exciting update from the recently concluded Global Goods Innovator Summit 2023 (GGIS23) as organized by Digital Square at PATH. The SORMAS Foundation participated in discussions that build and promote a #digitalhealth ecosystem of choice. Digital Square at PATH partners with innovators to increase the availability and adaptability of #globalgoods to address country-driven health needs.

The GGIS23 provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the exploration of new partnerships. Innovators recognized the immense potential of digital health Global Goods in strengthening health systems worldwide, with a focus on Standards and Interoperability, Security and data-privacy, and Sustainability. These three areas of conversations allowed for passionate people to work together on shared challenges, through an unconference approach that encouraged openness and genuine intimate discussions, birthing ideas that will enable the entire global goods community to grow stronger.

During the summit, the SORMAS Foundation team displayed the system’s prowess to streamline the reporting process for health workers on the ground, facilitating early detection and response to outbreaks. The team also highlighted the system’s ability to handle process management, collect, analyse, and visualize disease surveillance data in real-time.

As we move forward, it is crucial to harness the momentum generated at the summit and continue to foster collaborative efforts to integrate global goods with a common focus of enhancing global health security and resilience.
